On September 18, 2024, the new VAB (vertical assembled building) of S.A.B. Aerospace level ISO9 was officially opened in premises of Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. VAB was within 4 months designed and assembled for the purpose of integration of the structural and subsequently two flight modules of the ROSE-L radar satellite.

ROSE–L – the radar observation system is the last of the Copernicus program missions of the European Sentinel satellite. The goal of the mission is to collect data about the surface of the planet Earth, especially the type and extent of vegetation, oceans and the extent of glaciers. Data collection will be used, among other tasks, to predict natural phenomena threatening humanity on Earth.

"The new clean room of this size is another significant milestone in the Institute's involvement in space activities. The cooperation with S.A.B. Aerospace opens up a new opportunity for us to participate in European Space Agency projects," says Jaroslav Juračka, Director of the Institute.
